Aly Gebo

DIRECTOR

Hello Families! My name is Aly Gebo and I am very excited to start this new journey as the School Age Program Director with you all.

I am an Addison County native and have been working at the Mary Johnson School Age program since 2018. I have truly loved every minute of getting to know our afterschool and Summer kiddos, learning their interests, watching the kids grow up, and building connections with community members.

I am a University of Vermont Alumni and received my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies in 2021. While I was a student, I worked as a Substitute Teacher at Vergennes Union High School, as a volunteer at the Integrated Arts Academy in Burlington, and as an afterschool staff at Mary Johnson. Once I received my degree, I began working at Vergennes Union High School as a Paraeducator while continuing to work with Mary Johnson.

When I am not at work, I enjoy quiet moments spent reading, walking outdoors, and spending time with my family. I have recently discovered a love for solo traveling: Over the last year, I have been fortunate enough to make it to California, Arizona, Texas, Illinois, New York, and all of New England, with the goal of making it to all 63 National Parks by 2028.
